Godly Men & Women I Recommend To Listen To (Social Platforms, Websites, & Podcasts)

Updated: January 27th, 2024
The search for sound men and women to listen to can be a daunting task for anyone who is unfamiliar with false teaching and how to identify it. On my blog, Inside Cup, I have a number of posts covering false teaching if you are interested. But today, I wanted to give a list of people I personally recommend.

Now, some of the people I listen to, may be considered harsh in the manner they discuss particular topics and people. What I can say to this concern is first, test everything by scripture. When someone says something we struggle with, we need to ask if we are struggling because the statement is sinful? Is this person slandering someone? (And if we believe they are slandering someone we need to prove it with scripture, lest we falsely accuse and slander someone of something that is not true.)

A word of caution, as I listen to some people who call out false teachers, and that alone, especially for women, seems to be a difficult thing. Let me ask, is it gentle to speak soothing words and lead someone to Hell or is it gentle and loving to call out a deceiver for deceiving people and call for the deceiver to repent? Our feelings can be subjective, and sisters, we need to understand how even if we would not say something the way someone else does, if it is not sinful, then it is not wrong for those things to be said.

I will be addressing her later in this post, but I am going to recommend an awesome article by Michelle Lesley in covering this very topic. Post Recommendation | Sacrificing Truth On The Alter Of Tone as Michelle says, “Our sensitivity to tone (of voice, of writing, someone’s demeanor, etc.) is a hindrance rather than a help to us when we refuse to evaluate the content of what someone is saying to us simply because their manner of speaking, writing, or behavior has offended our sensibilities. This is especially harmful when that content is biblical truth.”

With that said, let’s start listing names in no particular order. 🙂 (Many of these men and women I will be linking their YouTube channels in their name, but some I’ll be linking their websites or podcasts as well. Some pastors can be found in the same YouTube channel.)

This does not mean I will 100% agree with everything ever said, but these men and women have made me critically think and challenged me to turn more to the scriptures of Jesus Christ. These men and women hold to the core of Christianity.

Update Note October 27th, 2021 – After my two main lists, I have added additional lists (further down) for specific social platforms and podcasts. Some people listed will have their Facebook or Instagram repeated twice. Additional lists are those on Facebook and the Instagram list has been updated.

Godly Men:

Please Note: I will never promote a female pastor or a woman preaching to a mixed audience of men and women. This breaks the commandment we are given of leadership in the church.

Some of the listed above also have an Instagram (they will be listed below, too), but these Christians I’ve come across on Instagram and greatly recommend them. Some of them also have other social platforms, as well. I did not separate them, as sometimes I’m not even sure who is behind the account.

  1. Great list, TR! I am so sorry I’ve been out of pocket for so long. My analog ministry leaves little time for blog reading – or anything else! – but it is so, so good.

However, today the Lord provided me with unexpected time… while I’m waiting on the Covid test, I had a chance to read this and catch up a tiny bit (although a nap is calling and I’m going to Zoom with my class so I can do the devotion with them from home). My head is swimming, so sorry if this is all disconnected. Ha! I consider you one of my people and I look forward to that Day when we will spend eternity worshiping together and catching up!

Here are a couple more to add to your list:
Monique Duson has a shared podcast with Krista Bontrager called, “All the Things,” and Monique also has a great ministry called “Center for Biblical Unity.” Right now, if I do have unoccupied time (which is rare), it’s in the car after dropping a kid off somewhere, so podcasts I do occasionally squeeze in. Not as often as I’d like, but this is a season – and I’m praying it will lead to much fruit for the Kingdom!
